Set in Arizona circa 1872, Rose and Micah follows the story of Rose Parsons, a 9 year-old girl who has recently lost her parents. When Rose is sent to live with her hermit-like uncle (Civil War veteran Micah Parsons) she struggles to find her place in her new home while he is faced with the challenge of suddenly having to care for a young child. This new life together proves awkward and difficult. It is only in the simple peace found working in a small garden that they begin to understand one another, and themselves.
Set in the beautiful deserts of southeastern Arizona, this original story is a metaphor for the sometimes barren but surprisingly fertile landscape of the human heart.
